This great site, updated weekly with news stories and pictures, details the work done in informing the public of the plight of homeless ex racing dogs, and the incomparable work undertaken by Gail and Mal Hickmott in rescuing and rehoming Greyhounds in the Channel Islands.
The Greyhound Sanctuary in St Breleade is run by Gail and Mal at their home and the beautiful hounds here in permanent residence are available to sponsor by members of the public, with ample chances at Open Days and at various venues throughout the year to meet and spend time with your sponsored dog.
Gail and Mal seek to always provide a permanent home for any dog that comes into the island from the UK rescue centres no matter what ~ and no dog is ever returned to kennels. Dogs unsuited to family life find a loving forever home at the Sanctuary.
There are currently 16 of these loveable canines gracing the sofas and innumerable dog beds at home with Gail and Mal.
